The beautiful, bubbly Ayesha was a darling and worked with big names like Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Akshay Kumar. She started acting at a very young age. We remember her for her roles in movies like Jo Jeeta Wohi Sikander, Masoom and Khiladi. She married construction tycoon Sameer Vashi and was last seen in 2010 in the movie ADA. Ayesha suffered slip disc and was bed ridden for some time. The good news is that she will be soon seen in Anil Sharma’s movie Genius.
Meenakshi won the Miss India contest at a very young age of 17 and turned a popular face with the movie Hero opposite Jackie Shroff in 1983. Trained in three different forms of classical dance – Kathak, Bharatnatyam, Odissi and Kuchipudi, she is remembered for her dancing skills. After the release of Ghatak, Meenakshi left the country to be with her husband, investment banker Harish Mysore who she married in 1995. She now lives in Texas with her husband and three children. The missing actress runs a dance school ‘Cherish Dance School’ and often performs with her students at charity events.
One of the missing actresses is the ‘Oye Oye’ girl, Sonam (real name Bakhtavar Khan is niece of Bollywood actor Raza Murad. Sonam got married to filmmaker Rajiv Rai at a young age of 18 and bid adieu to the Hindi film industry but not before giving a memorable performance in Tridev. She wasn’t very successful commercially, but is remembered for her looks. She divorced her first husband Rajiv Rai after 25 years of marriage and married Murali Poduval in 2017. She has a son Gaurav Rai from her first marriage.
The ‘Ghar se nikalte hi’ girl now lives in Gurgaon with her husband and son. The Aurangabad girl opted out of studies just to be an actress, but could not go very far. She is remembered as the light eyed girl of the 90s. She got married to Aditya Dhillon in 2003 and moved to USA where she did her MBA and also worked till 2011. Though now totally devoted to her work and family, she keeps herself away from the limelight.
