Motivation At Work As The Countdown for TGIF Begins
Today is Thursday and tomorrow is TGIF (Thank God it’s Friday) for many, a most awaited day for every employee. Some of them will be travelling out of the city and some will party with friends. Most of the people who aren’t shy of sipping a few drinks will be busted till Sunday only to wake up and realize they have a job also. Whatever you do, there’s one thing for sure, you won’t be thinking about your work. Because the weekend is the only escape for people nowadays where they seek to relax a bit and freshen themselves up but this escape ends on Monday.
There are only a few days left for the weekend and it’s time to get all your work done. Who wants to come on Monday and greeted with a huge amount of pending work. Maybe you will be dashed on your office desk after previous night party and still will be recovering from hangovers. It will be nothing less than a nightmare if you have to complete projects in such condition.
So get motivated right now and complete all your projects before the weekend. Here are some suggestions to stay motivated at work even if you don’t feel like doing it.
Do interesting projects first so that your workload will reduce. Quick Meditation has been proven as an effective technique for increasing the productivity of employees. Even Google has implemented this technique for their employees which helps them avoid burnout and remain innovative. Chade-Meng Tan, one of the earliest employees at Google, launched a seven-week meditation course called “Search Inside Yourself” and it became very famous.
Few Daydreaming walks can help you feel relaxed and creative again. Take some dream walks between your office timings so that you can keep up the motivation needed to pass the last two days of the week.
Remain Optimistic at your workplace. No motivation is bigger than a positive mindset that drives you to finish all your work on time. If you have a positive mindset, failures turn into opportunities and incidents became almighty’s amens.
Breaking bigger tasks into smaller ones is a very effective way to finish projects on time. That way you can finish those tasks that seem easy from different projects, that way you would be left with lesser pending work for Monday.
Sometimes we can’t find any meaning in our work and that’s why we try to avoid it, but the thing is it needs to be done. Maybe it will have a greater meaning or maybe it will not and so we should just do it instead of seeking bigger meaning in everyday tasks. As it is not possible to have meaningful tasks all days.
So as the countdown for weekend begins, just finish your work so that you can enjoy it fully without worrying about work and for a workless Monday. The best type of motivation is the self-motivation always.
