Tell us about yourself
I am not what happened to me, I am what I choose to become. I have defined and redefined my personal style over the years since I graduated from my school. I have commonly been known as a style coach.
When and how did you start with a nail salon?
We started with this nail salon, ‘Liquid Glam’ in May 2015, the idea prompted in me while walking through the streets of Thailand and the nail artist in every nukkar of the street showing their skills. It impressed me to think of getting the nail services here in Chandigarh.
How did you come up with this interesting name “Liquid Glam”?
Well the word ‘Liquid’, refers to Nail Polish and the ‘Glam’ as glamorous, neat, precise and polished.
What are the specialties of your nail studio?
The work at Liquid Glam Nails studio is unique, fun and interesting. We customize nail art designs for you and 3D nail art is one of our salon’s specialties. What’s good about our gel nails is that even though we put a lot of stones, none of those get removed because of the technique and the quality of our gel. We use the best methods and tools. To have a happy & satisfied customer base we provide best services, quality and update them with the latest trends.
Here’s a look at some of her designs-
A few tips to keep in mind after the nail art is done?
Nail biting is one of the anxiety tics, common among many customers. This can damage your nail bed that can further create a breeding ground for fungus and bacteria. To maintain your nails by applying cuticle oil twice a day. Do not try peeling your gel from your nails, it would damage the super thin layers of your nail along with the base formula.
“DO NOT TREAT THE NAILS AS TOOLS” Fall in love with your gel nails…
One nail colour that looks good on everyone?
I believe that each person is unique with different complexion and lifestyle. Hence the colors can’t be picked at random. My guide to people is that the ones with fair skin can totally rock both sheer and pinks and basically everything. The medium skin tones face a lot of problems, hence the colours that go well with, are pastels, dark purple, deep pink and something that is a bit more beige.
What advice would you like to give to women who want to start a business?
Any business you look upon is a reflection of YOU- your body and your mind. You should love what you do and the best way to feel confident is actually working one. Determine what you are good at doing. Forge genuine connections with people inside and outside your industry as so much of our business is referral-based.
