Chapati Sandwich recipe to your rescue:
  • Leftover Chapatis

  • Some mashed potatoes

  • Finely chopped onions

  • Cheese – Mozzarella or Cottage

  • Chopped green chilies

  • Hing

  • Turmeric powder

  • Garlic paste

  • Cumin seeds

  • Coriander leaves

  • Salt as per your taste

  • Mayonnaise

  • Olive Oil

  • Sauce as per your choice

  • Ghee

NOTE: The quantity of the ingredients totally depends upon the taste and choice of your own.

  • Heat olive oil in a pan.

  • Add cumin seeds accordingly and let it splutter.

  • Add hing and onion; fry them on medium heat for at least 4-5 minutes till it becomes light golden color.

  • Add garlic paste, turmeric powder, green chilies and mix well.

  • Again, fry for 2-3 minutes.

  • Turn off the gas; add coriander leaves, salt to mashed potatoes, and mix well.

  • Finally, the stuffing for your sandwich is ready.

  • Heat the pan on medium heat; speed ghee and put chapatti on it.

  • Try to roast the chapati until it becomes crisp.

  • Take off the chapati and spread mayonnaise on it.

  • You can also use chili sauce, green chutney or tamarind chutney. The choice is all yours!

  • When the spreading part is done, add the stuffing and spread it on every corner.

  • Press the stuffing so that it sticks perfectly.

  • Spread cheese over – either cottage or mozzarella.

  • Add another chapati on it and again fry in the pan till the rise takes over.

  • Serve the sandwich whilst cutting into 4 pieces. Give the finish by placing coriander on the top.
